According to Bjorn Hojgaard, CEO of Anglo-Eastern Univan Group, the world's largest ship management company, ship owners are increasingly demanding from managers not only technical management but also protection against geopolitical, regulatory, cyber, and labor risks.
In his article published in the latest issue of the company's internal magazine AE Foresights, Hojgaard emphasizes that the ship management business goes beyond technical operations and cost control.
Given the current challenges, such as changes in international politics and new regulatory requirements, ship managers must adapt and offer a broader range of services to their clients.
