In the first half of 2026, Germany increased its installed capacity of offshore wind farms by 1.1 GW, marking a significant step in the development of renewable energy in the country.
The total installed capacity of offshore wind energy in Germany reached 10.8 GW after connecting 84 turbines with a capacity of 1,077 MW from January to June.
However, industry representatives believe that serious reforms in the market are necessary for the successful implementation of the next wave of projects.
