In 2025, a new order for the division of joint property during divorce will come into force in Croatia. These changes are aimed at increasing transparency and simplifying procedures for investors and participants in the maritime industry, especially in light of the growing economic interest in the region.
The new rules provide clearer and fairer criteria for the distribution of property between spouses, which helps reduce legal disputes and speed up the divorce process. Special attention is given to the legal regulation of property acquired during marriage, as well as ensuring the rights of investors and entrepreneurs working in the maritime sector.
Furthermore, the Croatian government continues to invest significant funds in modernizing the judicial infrastructure, which also contributes to a more prompt consideration of cases related to property division. From 2022 to 2025, investments of over 333 million euros are planned for the renovation of courts and public services.
Overall, these measures are intended to improve the legal environment, make it more attractive for investors, and increase citizens' trust in the judicial system when addressing family law issues.
