A major overhaul of the floating crane "Zulfi Hajiyev", owned by the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), has been completed at the Bibi-Eybat shipyard in Baku.
The vessel was launched on June 10, and the full cycle of repairs was completed on June 25. During the work, the updating of the windlass and the aft winch, modernization of the electrical and automatic parts, as well as the assembly and installation of five new doors on the vessel were carried out.
The floating crane "Zulfi Hajiyev" was built in 1982 at the Titovo Shipyard in Croatia's Kraljevica. Its main characteristics include a length of 98.98 meters, a width of 17.43 meters, a draft of 3.2 meters, a speed of 11.35 knots, and a lifting capacity of 100 tons. Until 1992, the vessel was named "Captain Dolgopolov".
The major overhaul of the vessel will significantly enhance its operational capabilities and extend its service life, thereby strengthening the technical potential of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company in providing maritime operations in the Caspian Sea.
