The Moscow branch of the Russian State Insurance Company (RGS) announced plans to install over 180 new navigation signs on waterways by 2025. Of these, 67 signs will be shore-based, and 119 will be floating. This initiative aims to significantly improve the safety and orientation of vessels on water routes.
The innovation will enhance navigation safety and prevent accidents on water by providing a clear system for marking shipping routes. According to RGS representatives, modern navigation signs will facilitate more convenient and efficient orientation for captains and crews of vessels.
The installation of new signs is part of a comprehensive program to modernize the infrastructure of water transport, which is being carried out to support shipping and develop water communications in the Moscow region and Russia as a whole.
