Purpose and capabilities
The ship "Primorye" is intended for monitoring surface, underwater, and air situations, protecting marine biological resources, and controlling fishing. It effectively performs tasks to guard the state border of the Russian Federation in the harshest conditions of the northern and Far Eastern seas.
The series of ships of project 22120 is equipped with ice reinforcement, allowing them to independently navigate during the winter-spring period through sparse first-year ice up to 0.6 meters thick and in summer-autumn – up to 0.8 meters. The vessel can also accommodate up to 14 additional passengers if necessary.
Project 22120, developed by LLC "PKB "Petrobalt" and implemented at the "Almaz" shipyard in St. Petersburg, continues to strengthen Russia's maritime borders, which are particularly important in the Arctic and Far Eastern regions.
