Feedback for CES v6.0 (Engine Department)
I recently completed the CES v6.0 test for the Engine Department and scored 86%. While the test covers a good range of technical knowledge, I encountered a few significant technical errors and glitches that should be addressed:
Question 75 (Special Survey Interval): The options provided were nonsensical (Beach, Breach, Bleach, Blanch). The system marked \'Bleach\' as the correct answer, which is obviously a technical error. A Special Survey interval is 5 years.
Question 28 (Rocket Parachute Flare): The test lists 180m as the correct altitude. However, per SOLAS LSA Code 3.1.2, these flares must reach an altitude of not less than 300m.
Question 77 (Rust on Ro-Ro units): There is some ambiguity here, as wet vehicles contribute to humidity, but the primary cause of sustained rust in holds is typically the salt-air circulation from the ventilation systems.
